Dr. Affaro Affandy is the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute for Agrifood Systems Transformation (MIAST). He brings extensive experience working with both public and private sector organizations, specializing in strategy development, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

An accomplished trainer and consultant, he collaborates with international academic institutions to deliver impactful, practical training programs that equip individuals and organizations to address real-world challenges effectively.

Dr. Affaro previously served as a faculty member at the International Islamic University Malaysia and as a consultant fellow at Universiti Malaysia Pahang, blending academic expertise with industry application. He holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from University College London (2012), supporting his ability to deliver innovative and practical solutions across diverse fields.
